One wicked wish for my maiden entry

I suddenly had that itch to write. I suddenly wanted to write a book, the kind that would make me a Pulitzer winner someday. I suddenly wanted to write a news story, the one that would adorn my by-line with journalism awards. But of course when you've got into the groove of writing, just when you thought you have enough momentum to create a thousand-page masterpiece, you would abruptly see yourself putting a period in the sentence that could have started it all.
