Loving 2009 :)

I'm starting to get really positive about 2009. :) After all, good things are bound to happen. :D There will always be something to be happy about, right? So I promise not to dwell on negative things. :D

There was a shocking work-related news last week but I realized its basically beyond my control. What's left of me to do is perform well. :) Everything will eventually get better. :)

I'm also happy I had THAT talk with the most important man in my life last Saturday. :) We knew it's eventually coming but it really makes me giddy that plans are becoming more clear. :) Ok, I won't dwell on this. *crossing fingers* :)

Off-topic:

  3. From an objective point of view, I particularly didn't like the latest TVC of Mcdo for this reason:
*** Why the kalandian of that married woman? Tama ba namang magtitigan sila ng kanyang first love habang katabi nya ang asawa nya? Ewan ko ah, di ko na-appreciate. Sana wala na lang yung asawa sa tabi nya or that scene na andun pa yung anak
    nung girl.

I usually admire Mcdo commercials kahit pa ngayong I work na for Jollibee, to mention some- KAREN, Sharon and Miel's commercial and the talking wallets commercial are a few of the many mcdo commercials i like.

But i really have to disagree on the latest one.

  4. umm ok. haha!

but i think that's what it makes the commercial oh so wonderful. it was the innocent type of first love, something a normal husband (i think) would not really bother about. haha :) kasi hindi naman nangthreat yung guy na mang-aagaw diba? tanggap niya kasi "kahit hindi kami sa huli" effect. i think it was bittersweet. :)

  5. Amen Thea, I couldn't have said it better. :)

This is how I saw it: the way the guy ate his fries, that single gesture reminded the girl of their early years. Perhaps the memories made her smile. Perhaps for a fleeting moment, she thought of what could have been. Either way, I think that was a bittersweet smile, not a come-on.

The way they looked at each other can be interpreted a number of ways, none of them malicious, I think. If a viewer thinks of it as less than innocent, I think that says more about the viewer rather than the commercial itself. Personally, I liked it; it tugs at the heartstrings. :)

P.S. We're moving up north! Basta near Makati. The spur-of-the-moment meet-ups will be more frequent now! :)
